You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Oklahoma Norman Campus. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Oklahoma for History for a Master’s list. Located in Norman, Oklahoma, this large public school handed out 5 diplomas to qualified masters’s history students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at University of Oklahoma, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best History Master’s Degree Schools in Oklahoma” ranking.Of the 27,772 students enrolled at University of Oklahoma Norman Campus, 12 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 10 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,720. In addition to receiving other benefits, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of Oklahoma Norman Campus does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

Located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, this large public school handed out 5 degrees to qualified masters’s history students in 2020-2021.
OSU also made our “Best History Master’s Degree Schools in Oklahoma” list, coming in at #2.Our most recent data shows that 1,038 of the 24,535 students enrolled at OSU were GI Bill® students, of which 439 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,226. During this same period, 39 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
The school has an impressive undergrad student loan default rate. It’s only [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%. With a freshman retention rate of 85%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Central Oklahoma. The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Oklahoma for History for a Master’s. University of Central Oklahoma is located in Edmond, Oklahoma and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 15 masters’s history degrees to qualified students.
UCO did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our “Best History Master’s Degree Schools in Oklahoma” list.Among the 14,132 students enrolled at UCO, 934 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
