In 2020-2021, 556,813 liberal arts general studies students received their degree, making the major the 1st most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 25,322 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $26,767 and $16,047 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Liberal Arts” ranking looked at 46 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in liberal arts general studies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great liberal arts general studies programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the liberal arts general studies program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
