In 2020-2021, 556,813 liberal arts general studies students received their degree, making the major the 1st most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.

Across Oklahoma, there were 3,299 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,125 and $19,746 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Oklahoma for Liberal Arts” ranking looked at 18 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in liberal arts general studies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality liberal arts general studies programs as well as strong veteran support.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the liberal arts general studies program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Oklahoma Norman Campus. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Oklahoma for Liberal Arts list. University of Oklahoma Norman Campus is located in Norman, Oklahoma and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 528 ’s liberal arts degrees to qualified students.

University of Oklahoma did well in our major quality rankings, too. Oklahoma State University - Main Campus is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 263 ’s liberal arts degrees to qualified students.

OSU not only placed well in this ranking.
