Mathematics is the 35th most popular major in the country with 30,202 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,168 and had an average of $21,863 in loans still to pay off.

Across Pennsylvania, there were 1,302 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $47,817 and $26,029 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,117 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,741 and $27,572 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Math for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a degree in mathematics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent mathematics programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
