It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Best Value Data Analytics Schools” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 1,338 people earned their degree in data analytics, making the major the 236th most popular in the United States.
For this year’s “Best Value Data Analytics Schools” ranking, we looked at 11 colleges that offer a degree in data analytics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent data analytics programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the data analytics program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Brigham Young University - Idaho. The school came in at #1 for the Best Value Data Analytics Schools. Brigham Young University - Idaho is located in Rexburg, Idaho and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 32 ’s data analytics degrees to qualified students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Northern Iowa. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Data Analytics Schools. UNI is a medium-sized public school situated in Cedar Falls, Iowa. It awarded 23 ’s data analytics degrees in 2020-2021.
UNI also took the #1 spot in our “Best Data Analytics Schools” ranking. The yearly cost to attend UNI is $16,438 for data analytics students.
Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 86%. The low undergrad student loan default rate of 2.8% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.

Out of the 11 schools in the Best Value Data Analytics Schools that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley landed the #3 spot on the list. The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is a large school located in Edinburg, Texas that handed out 57 ’s data analytics degrees in 2020-2021.
UT Rio Grande Valley also took the #5 spot in our “Best Data Analytics Schools” ranking. The estimated yearly cost for UT Rio Grande Valley is $3,743 for data analytics students.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 0.7%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Best Value Data Analytics Schools list. Located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, this medium-sized public school handed out 13 degrees to qualified ’s data analytics students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UW - Stevens Point, the school also landed the #4 spot in our “Best Data Analytics Schools” ranking. The yearly cost to attend UW - Stevens Point is $13,346 for Data Analytics students.

Houston, Texas is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s data analytics degrees to 70 students in 2020-2021.

Bowling Green State University - Main Campus ranked #6 on this year’s Best Value Data Analytics Schools list. BGSU is located in Bowling Green, Ohio and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 23 ’s data analytics degrees to qualified students.
BGSU also took the #7 spot in our “Best Data Analytics Schools” ranking. It costs about $18,558 for Data Analytics students per year to attend BGSU.

With a ranking of #7, Wilmington University did quite well on the 2023 Best Value Data Analytics Schools list. Wilmington University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in New Castle, Delaware. It awarded 4 ’s data analytics degrees in 2020-2021.
