Across the New England region, there were 206 mathematics and computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $109,338 and $7,482 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Math & CompSci Schools in the New England Region” ranking looked at 3 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in mathematics and computer science. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great mathematics and computer science programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute is a private not-for-profit institution located in Worcester, Massachusetts. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 82 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Out of the 3 schools in the Best Value Math & CompSci Schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Massachusetts Institute of Technology landed the #2 spot on the list. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, this fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 32 degrees to qualified ’s math and compsci students in 2020-2021.

MIT also took the #1 spot in our “Best Mathematics & Computer Science Schools in the New England Region” ranking. It costs about $16,407 for New England Region Math & CompSci students per year to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The low undergrad student loan default rate of 0.3% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools.
