In 2020-2021, 1,302 people earned their degree in mathematics and computer science, making the major the 221st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, mathematics and computer science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $80,867 and had an average of $19,874 in loans still to pay off.
This year’s “Best Value Math & CompSci Schools” ranking looked at 29 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in mathematics and computer science. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great mathematics and computer science programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the mathematics and computer science program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
