This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Conflict Resolution” ranking analyzed 27 colleges that offered a degree in peace studies and conflict resolution. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent peace studies and conflict resolution programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

University of Oregon came in at #23 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly for Conflict Resolution ranking. Located in Eugene, Oregon, this large public school handed out 17 diplomas to qualified ’s conflict resolution students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our vets studying conflict resolution list, UO has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 582 of the 21,752 students enrolled at UO were GI Bill® students, of which 314 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $11,688. In addition to receiving other benefits, 25 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. UO does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.

University of North Carolina at Wilmington came in at #24 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly for Conflict Resolution ranking. University of North Carolina at Wilmington is a fairly large school located in Wilmington, North Carolina that handed out 13 ’s conflict resolution degrees in 2020-2021.
UNCW not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 17,915 students enrolled at University of North Carolina at Wilmington, 1,169 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 659 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $5,129. In addition to receiving other benefits, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of North Carolina at Wilmington does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

With a ranking of #25, College of Saint Benedict did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Conflict Resolution list. CSB is a private not-for-profit institution located in Saint Joseph, Minnesota. The school has a small population, and it awarded 6 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
CSB not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 1,668 students enrolled at CSB, 15 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 11 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $8,588. In addition to receiving other benefits, 5 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
