This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Meteorological Science” ranking analyzed 10 colleges that offered a degree in meteorology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent meteorology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for Meteorological Science that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Oklahoma Norman Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Norman, Oklahoma, this large public school awarded 74 diplomas to qualified ’s meteorological science students in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our vets studying meteorological science list, University of Oklahoma has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 27,772 students enrolled at University of Oklahoma Norman Campus, 12 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 10 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $3,720. In addition to receiving other benefits, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. Iowa State University is a large public school situated in Ames, Iowa. It awarded 17 ’s meteorological science degrees in 2020-2021.

Iowa State also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Our most recent data shows that 814 of the 31,822 students enrolled at Iowa State University were GI Bill® students, of which 388 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s meteorological science degrees to 7 students in 2020-2021.

UWM did well in our major quality rankings, too. With a ranking of #6, University of North Carolina at Charlotte did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Meteorological Science list. Charlotte, North Carolina is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s meteorological science degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.
