This year's Best Criminology Colleges for Non-Traditional Students in the Southeast Region ranking analyzed 14 colleges that offered a bachelor's degree in criminology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality criminology programs as well as strong support for students classified as non-traditional.

University of Florida has taken the #1 spot in this year's criminology ranking for non-traditional students. UF is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Gainesville. UF did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for Criminology in the Southeast Region list.
The student loan default rate at UF is lower than is typical, just 0.9% of students default in three years. Approximately 22,865 students take at least one class online at UF. There are roughly 11,205 part time students in attendance at UF.

University of South Florida - Main Campus landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best criminology schools for non-traditional students. USF Tampa is a very large public school located in the city of Tampa. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, USF Tampa has also earned the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Criminology in the Southeast Region ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.2%. Approximately 22,899 students take at least one class online at USF Tampa. There are roughly 13,938 part time students in attendance at USF Tampa.

University of West Georgia earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the town of Carrollton, University of West Georgia is a public school with a large student population.
About 2.8% of University of West Georgia students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 4,945 students at University of West Georgia are exclusively online. About 5,331 of the students at University of West Georgia are attending part time.

Located in the city of Wilmington, UNCW is a public school with a large student population. UNCW also took the #6 spot in our Best Colleges for Criminology in the Southeast Region rankings.
