You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Iowa State University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Visual Arts for a Master’s. Iowa State is a large public school situated in Ames, Iowa. It awarded 5 masters’s visual arts degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Iowa State, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best General Visual & Performing Arts Master’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region” ranking.Among the 31,822 students enrolled at Iowa State University, 814 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 388 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,933. To help with additional expenses, 9 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Iowa State University does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

MCAD is a small school located in Minneapolis, Minnesota that handed out 17 masters’s visual arts degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at MCAD, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best General Visual & Performing Arts Master’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, MCAD supports 760 students, and 19 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 11 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,588. During this same period, 4 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

The undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 9 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one.
