Florida State University tops the 2021 list of our schools in Florida that are best for non-traditional music students. Located in the midsize city of Tallahassee, Florida State is a public college with a fairly large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, Florida State has also earned the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Music in Florida ranking.
The student loan default rate at Florida State is lower than is typical, just 1.0% of students default in three years. Approximately 20,172 students take at least one class online at Florida State. About 8,311 of the students at Florida State are attending part time.
The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Miami. Located in the city of Coral Gables, U Miami is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population. U Miami not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #2 on our Best Colleges for Music in Florida list.
About 0.6% of U Miami students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 7,899 students take at least one class online at U Miami. About 1,358 of the students at U Miami are attending part time.
Florida International University landed the #3 spot in our 2021 best music schools for non-traditional students. Located in the large suburb of Miami, FIU is a public school with a fairly large student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at FIU, the school also landed the #4 rank in our Best Colleges for Music in Florida ranking.
About 2.0% of FIU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 21,632 students take at least one class online at FIU. About 22,664 of the students at FIU are attending part time.
Our rankings recognize Rollins College as the #4 school in this year's rankings. Rollins is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Winter Park. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Rollins, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Music in Florida ranking.
The student loan default rate at Rollins is lower than is typical, just 1.5% of students default in three years. 297 students are part time.
