In 2019-2020, visual and performing arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,700 and had an average of $25,051 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 17,851 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,608 and $24,252 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,186 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,810 and $18,681 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Visual & Performing Arts for an Associate” ranking looked at 15 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in visual and performing arts. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent visual and performing arts programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

UCO is a fairly large public school situated in Edmond, Oklahoma. It awarded 24 associates’s visual and performing arts degrees in 2020-2021.

UCO also made our “Best Visual & Performing Arts Associate Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #4.Among the 14,132 students enrolled at University of Central Oklahoma, 934 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. University of Advancing Technology is a small school located in Tempe, Arizona that handed out 8 associates’s visual and performing arts degrees in 2020-2021.

University of Advancing Technology not only placed well in this ranking. The Art Institute of Dallas is located in Dallas, Texas and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 11 associates’s visual and performing arts degrees to qualified students.
