New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology tops this year’s ranking as the best value school for Chinese students in New Mexico. Located in Socorro, New Mexico, the small public school handed out 225 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

International students make up 4.7% of the total student body at the school. The top three countries sending students to study at New Mexico Tech are China, India, and Nepal. Yearly tuition and fees (out-of-state) for undergraduates at New Mexico Tech runs, on average, about $24,254. The average tuition and fees for graduate programs is $25,665 per year.

With a student-to-faculty ratio of 8 to 1, it’s easy to see that the school is committed to helping their undergraduates succeed.

UNM is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 4,294 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.

Around 4.5% of the total student population at the school is international. Students from as far away as China, India, and Nepal come to UNM to study. International students at UNM can expect to pay, on average, about $25,243 a year to attend the school. Graduate students pay around $20,487 a year in average tuition and fees.

The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at New Mexico State University - Main Campus helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools for Chinese students in New Mexico. NMSU Main Campus is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 2,425 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.

International students make up 5.4% of the total student body at the school. Students from as far away as Kuwait, Mexico, and India come to NMSU Main Campus to study. International students at NMSU Main Campus can expect to pay, on average, about $23,767 a year to attend the school. The average tuition and fees for graduate programs is $18,275 per year.
