When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. VA figures show 15 GI Bill® students at MLC. Because the school enrolls 718, approximately 2.1% of students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. As a benchmark, the Student Veterans of America puts the share of veteran college students nationwide at three to four percent.
The total spans all GI Bill® chapters, including Post-9/11, Montgomery, Reserve Education Assistance, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. It excludes active-duty military personnel attending through Tuition Assistance, so the true military population may be larger.

MLC may recognize specialized military training toward college credit. Ask the admissions office how this applies to you. Prior-learning credit can help you graduate sooner, so it pays to ask. Check with MLC about credit for life experience, CLEP and similar exams, or other prior learning beyond military training.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs are not available at MLC.
