Our Veterans Report on Perry Tech:
An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience. Per VA data, there are 62 GI Bill® students at Perry Tech. As the school’s total enrollment is 973, around 6.4% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. By comparison, the Student Veterans of America reports that three to four percent of college students nationwide are veterans.
This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, such as Post-9/11, the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. It excludes active-duty military personnel attending through Tuition Assistance, so the true military population may be larger.
How a school’s veterans persist, transfer, and graduate is a useful signal of how well it serves them.
