An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience. VA figures show 2,110 GI Bill® students at UTEP. With a total enrollment of 20,547, about 10.3% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. If you have specialized military training, UTEP may take that into consideration and grant college credit for it. Ask the admissions office how this applies to you. Credit for prior learning can shorten your time to a degree, so it’s worth asking about.
