When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. The VA reports that there are 445 GI Bill® students at U of I. Credit for prior learning can shorten your time to a degree, so it’s worth asking about. Beyond military training, ask U of I whether it awards credit for life or work experience, CLEP exams, or other prior learning.
