Our Veterans Report on USW:
When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. Per VA data, there are 45 GI Bill® students at USW. Given that enrollment at the school is 337, around 13.4% of the students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. By comparison, the Student Veterans of America reports that three to four percent of college students nationwide are veterans.
All GI Bill® chapters are included here: Post-9/11, Montgomery, Reserve Education Assistance, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. It leaves out active-duty personnel using Tuition Assistance, meaning the total military presence may be greater.

Credit for prior learning can shorten your time to a degree, so it’s worth asking about. Contact USW to find out if it grants credit for life experience, CLEP/standardized exams, or other prior learning.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs are not available at USW.
