2022 Best Value Ag Mech Schools for an Associate
With all of the options students have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. Our “Best Value Ag Mech Schools for an Associate” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2019-2020, 1,550 people earned their degree in ag mechanization, making the major the 235th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, ag mechanization graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,100 and had an average of $16,882 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 570 ag mechanization graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Ag Mech Schools for an Associate” ranking analyzed 22 colleges that offered a degree in ag mechanization. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great ag mechanization programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the ag mechanization program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Lima, Ohio is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out associates’s ag mech degrees to 112 students in 2019-2020.
