Delaware Valley University has taken the #1 spot in this year's animal science ranking for non-traditional students. DelVal is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Doylestown. DelVal did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our Best Colleges for Animal Science in the Middle Atlantic Region list.

The student loan default rate at DelVal is lower than is typical, just 8.0% of students default in three years. There are approximately 467 students at DelVal that take at least one class online. 512 of DelVal students are attending part time. DelVal does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

University of Maryland - College Park landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best animal science schools for non-traditional students. UMCP is a very large public school located in the suburb of College Park. UMCP not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #1 on our Best Colleges for Animal Science in the Middle Atlantic Region list.

The student loan default rate at UMCP is lower than is typical, just 2.3% of students default in three years. Approximately 4,138 students take at least one class online at UMCP. 4,597 of UMCP students are attending part time. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Cornell University landed the #3 spot in our 2021 best animal science schools for non-traditional students. Located in the small city of Ithaca, Cornell is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population. Cornell also took the #2 spot in our Best Colleges for Animal Science in the Middle Atlantic Region rankings.
