In 2020-2021, 3,234 people earned their degree in horticulture, making the major the 218th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, horticulture graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,708 and had an average of $18,440 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 921 horticulture graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,352 and $13,281 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 66 horticulture graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Horticulture for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 7 colleges that offer a degree in horticulture. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality horticulture programs as well as strong veteran support.

In 2020-2021, this school awarded 16 bachelors’s horticulture degrees to qualified students.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at UARK, the school also landed the #4 spot in our “Best Horticulture Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, UARK supports 27,562 students, and 11 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 11 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is a public institution located in Tifton, Georgia. The school has a small population, and it awarded 21 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.
