General Sales & Marketing is the 139th most popular major in the country with 5,923 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general sales and marketing graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $44,525 and had an average of $23,038 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 611 general sales and marketing graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,695 and $24,887 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking analyzed 14 colleges that offered a degree in general sales and marketing. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general sales and marketing programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the general sales and marketing program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

This medium-sized school is located in Greenville, South Carolina, and it awarded 60 ’s sales and marketing degrees in 2020-2021.
GTC also made our “Best General Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #3. The yearly cost to attend GTC is $7,225 for southeast region sales & marketing students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend American Public University System. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region. This large school is located in Charles Town, West Virginia, and it awarded 16 ’s sales and marketing degrees in 2020-2021.
American Military University not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #8 on our “Best General Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region” list. The estimated yearly cost for American Public University System is $10,563 for southeast region sales & marketing students.
Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 98%.

Out of the 14 schools in the Best Value Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Florence-Darlington Technical College landed the #3 spot on the list. Located in Florence, South Carolina, this small public school awarded 13 diplomas to qualified ’s sales and marketing students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Florence-Darlington Technical College, the school also landed the #11 spot in our “Best General Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. Gadsden State Community College ranked #8 on this year’s Best Value Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region list. Gadsden State Community College is a public institution located in Gadsden, Alabama. The school has a small population, and it awarded 3 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #13, High Point University did quite well on the 2023 Best Value Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region list. High Point is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in High Point, North Carolina. It awarded 32 ’s sales and marketing degrees in 2020-2021.
High Point did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best General Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region” list. It costs about $39,475 for Southeast Region Sales & Marketing students per year to attend High Point.
The low undergrad student loan default rate of 4.4% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.
Stetson University came in at #14 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. Stetson is located in DeLand, Florida and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 13 ’s sales and marketing degrees to qualified students.
Stetson also made our “Best General Sales & Marketing Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #5. The yearly cost to attend Stetson University is $23,218 for Southeast Region Sales & Marketing students.
The school has an impressive undergrad student loan default rate. It’s only 3.3%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
