Southern Methodist University ranked #9 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Music Teacher Education for a Master’s list. SMU is located in Dallas, Texas and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 8 masters’s music teacher education degrees to qualified students.

SMU also took the #6 spot in our “Best Music Education Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, Southern Methodist University supports 12,373 students, and 327 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 215 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
