It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for EE” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 28,844 people earned their degree in electrical engineering, making the major the 39th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $74,380 and had an average of $24,114 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 1,015 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $71,262 and $22,895 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for EE” ranking looked at 17 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality electrical engineering programs as well as strong veteran support.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Colorado Boulder. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for EE list. Boulder, Colorado is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s EE degrees to 166 students in 2020-2021.
