You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend The University of Alabama. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Alabama for ME for a Master’s list. This large school is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and it awarded 27 masters’s ME degrees in 2020-2021.

UA not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #2 on our “Best Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Alabama” list.Our most recent data shows that 2,081 of the 37,840 students enrolled at UA were GI Bill® students, of which 1,128 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,975. On top of their other funding sources, 357 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Auburn University is a public institution located in Auburn, Alabama. The school has a large population, and it awarded 25 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Auburn, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Alabama” ranking.According to our most recent data, Auburn University supports 30,737 students, and 1,499 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 746 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. University of Alabama at Birmingham is a public institution located in Birmingham, Alabama. The school has a large population, and it awarded 17 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.

It is also #3 on our “Best Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Alabama” list.Among the 22,563 students enrolled at University of Alabama at Birmingham, 1,194 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 508 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,983. To help with additional expenses, 15 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of Alabama at Birmingham does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
