In 2020-2021, 9,210 people earned their degree in health/medical prep programs, making the major the 104th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health/medical prep programs graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,184 and had an average of $21,459 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,479 health/medical prep programs graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,182 and $18,481 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 525 health/medical prep programs graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Medical Prep for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 20 colleges that offer a degree in health/medical prep programs. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health/medical prep programs programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Mobile, Alabama is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s medical prep degrees to 116 students in 2020-2021.
