In 2020-2021, 35,945 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,887 and had an average of $24,736 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 2,948 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,532 and $27,623 respectively.
This year’s “Most Well Attended Health Science Major in the Great Lakes Region” ranking looked at 90 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health sciences and services. To top this list, a school must have a successful health sciences and services program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.

The school has an impressive undergrad student loan default rate. It’s only 3.7%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
