You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of North Texas. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Health Science for a Doctorate. UNT is a large school located in Denton, Texas that handed out 3 doctorate’s health science degrees in 2020-2021.

UNT also made our “Best Health Sciences & Services Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #1.Our most recent data shows that 2,038 of the 40,953 students enrolled at University of North Texas were GI Bill® students, of which 1,138 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $9,999. To help with additional expenses, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of North Texas does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

With a freshman retention rate of 85%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.

The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Health Science for a Doctorate. El Paso, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s health science degrees to 4 students in 2020-2021.

UTEP also took the #2 spot in our “Best Health Sciences & Services Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Among the 24,879 students enrolled at The University of Texas at El Paso, 1,873 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 942 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $5,990. In addition to receiving other benefits, 2 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
