With a ranking of #24, Northern Illinois University did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Law for a Doctorate list. NIU is a fairly large school located in Dekalb, Illinois that handed out 73 doctorate’s law degrees in 2020-2021.

NIU also made our “Best Law Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region” list, coming in at #25.Our most recent data shows that 480 of the 16,769 students enrolled at NIU were GI Bill® students, of which 207 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,822. During this same period, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
