With 556,813 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, liberal arts / sciences and humanities is the 3rd most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, liberal arts / sciences and humanities graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.
Across Texas, there were 58,100 liberal arts / sciences and humanities graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,566 and $15,994 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,412 liberal arts / sciences and humanities graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,932 and $25,894 respectively.
