In 2020-2021, 19,594 people earned their degree in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration, making the major the 192nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $32,998 and had an average of $11,353 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 650 heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,345 and $11,878 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Eastern Maine Community College. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for HVACR list. Located in Bangor, Maine, this small public school handed out 6 diplomas to qualified ’s HVACR students in 2020-2021.

Eastern Maine Community College also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Of the 2,042 students enrolled at Eastern Maine Community College, 102 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 45 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $1,746.
