International Studies is the 100th most popular major in the country with 7,368 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, international studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $34,198 and had an average of $21,594 in loans still to pay off.
Across Oregon, there were 166 international studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,708 and $19,500 respectively.

Top 4 Best International Studies Colleges for Veterans in Oregon
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Portland State University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for International Studies list. Located in Portland, Oregon, this large public school handed out 47 degrees to qualified ’s international studies students in 2020-2021.
Portland State University not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 23,640 students enrolled at Portland State University, 1,127 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 739 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $8,835. During this same period, 100 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Portland State University does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

Eugene, Oregon is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s international studies degrees to 82 students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UO, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 21,752 students enrolled at UO, 582 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Newberg, Oregon is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s international studies degrees to 5 students in 2020-2021.
