New York, New York is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s sustainability degrees to 110 students in 2020-2021.

Columbia also made our “Best Sustainability Studies Master’s Degree Schools in New York” list, coming in at #1.Our most recent data shows that 739 of the 30,135 students enrolled at Columbia were GI Bill® students, of which 467 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $22,069. On top of their other funding sources, 328 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 95%. The undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 6 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one. New School University is a fairly large school located in New York, New York that handed out 21 masters’s sustainability degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at New School University, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Sustainability Studies Master’s Degree Schools in New York” ranking.Of the 9,047 students enrolled at New School University, 117 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. It placed #3 on our “Best Sustainability Studies Master’s Degree Schools in New York” list.Among the 15,227 students enrolled at The City College of New York, 125 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 64 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $4,172. To help with additional expenses, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.
