You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Maine. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Best Value Wildlife Schools in the New England Region For Those Getting Aid list. Located in Orono, Maine, this fairly large public school handed out 49 diplomas to qualified ’s wildlife students in 2020-2021.

UMaine also took the #1 spot in our “Best Wildlife Management Schools in the New England Region” ranking. The estimated yearly cost for University of Maine is $16,033 for New England Region Wildlife students with aid.

The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 4.0%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.

Out of the 4 schools in the Best Value Wildlife Schools in the New England Region For Those Getting Aid that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Rhode Island landed the #2 spot on the list. URI is a fairly large public school situated in Kingston, Rhode Island. It awarded 34 ’s wildlife degrees in 2020-2021.

URI did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our “Best Wildlife Management Schools in the New England Region” list. The estimated yearly cost for University of Rhode Island is $18,638 for new england region wildlife students with aid.

With a freshman retention rate of 85%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.
