Tarleton is a large public school located in the remote town of Stephenville. Tarleton not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #2 on our Best Colleges for Wildlife Management in the Southwest Region list.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 2.3%. 6,360 of Tarleton students are exclusively distance learners. 4,832 of Tarleton students are attending part time.

Stephen F Austin State University earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. SFASU is a large public school located in the remote town of Nacogdoches. SFASU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for Wildlife Management in the Southwest Region list.

Located in the medium-sized suburb of Las Cruces, NMSU Main Campus is a public school with a fairly large student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at NMSU Main Campus, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Wildlife Management in the Southwest Region ranking.
