Health & Physical Education is the 11th most popular major in the country with 67,146 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.

Across New York, there were 2,409 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,048 and $21,587 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,593 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,555 and $23,635 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in New York for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 18 colleges that offer a degree in health and physical education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health and physical education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
