Wichita State University came in at #23 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Social Work for a Bachelor’s ranking. This fairly large school is located in Wichita, Kansas, and it awarded 58 bachelors’s social work degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at WSU, the school also landed the #21 spot in our “Best Social Work Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 577 of the 14,999 students enrolled at WSU were GI Bill® students, of which 385 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,488. During this same period, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Missouri State University - Springfield did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Social Work for a Bachelor’s ranking, coming in at #24. Springfield, Missouri is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s social work degrees to 42 students in 2020-2021.

Among the 3,003 students enrolled at St. Ambrose University, 88 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 42 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,054. During this same period, 17 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
