General Visual & Performing Arts is the 116th most popular major in the country with 6,355 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general visual and performing arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $25,134 and had an average of $26,019 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 1,108 general visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $22,469 and $23,023 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 556 general visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,457 and $25,851 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Visual Arts for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 17 colleges that offered a degree in general visual and performing arts. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general visual and performing arts programs as well as strong veteran support.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the general visual and performing arts program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in Troy, New York. It awarded 4 bachelors’s visual arts degrees in 2020-2021.
