In 2020-2021, 3,130 people earned their degree in visual and performing arts, making the major the 221st most popular in the United States.

Across the Southeast region, there were 611 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 473 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Visual Arts for a Bachelor’s. GMU is a large public school situated in Fairfax, Virginia. It awarded 101 bachelors’s visual arts degrees in 2020-2021.

GMU not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #2 on our “Best Visual & Performing Arts Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list.Of the 38,541 students enrolled at GMU, 2,334 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 1,583 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $10,710.
