University of Nevada - Las Vegas tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Far Western US Region that are best for non-traditional music students. UNLV is a very large public school located in the midsize city of Las Vegas. UNLV also made our Best Colleges for Music in the Far Western US Region list, coming in at #3.
About 1.5% of UNLV students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 15,438 students take at least one class online at UNLV. 8,226 students are part time.

University of Southern California landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best music schools for non-traditional students. Located in the city of Los Angeles, USC is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population. USC not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #1 on our Best Colleges for Music in the Far Western US Region list.
The student loan default rate at USC is lower than is typical, just 0.5% of students default in three years. Approximately 15,291 students take at least one class online at USC. About 6,687 of the students at USC are attending part time.

Our rankings recognize University of Oregon as the #3 school in this year's rankings. Located in the city of Eugene, UO is a public college with a very large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UO has also earned the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Music in the Far Western US Region ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.0%. Approximately 8,819 students take at least one class online at UO. About 1,683 of the students at UO are attending part time.

California State University - Northridge comes in at #4 in this year's ranking. Located in the city of Northridge, CSUN is a public college with a fairly large student population.
The student loan default rate at CSUN is lower than is typical, just 1.7% of students default in three years. 28,617 students at CSUN are exclusively online. 9,164 of CSUN students are attending part time.
