Our analysis found Texas Tech University to be the best affordable school for Jamaican students in the Southwest Region in this year’s ranking. Located in Lubbock, Texas, the large public school awarded 6,884 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.

International students make up 5.2% of the total student body at the school. The top three countries sending students to study at Texas Tech are India, China, and Bangladesh. Yearly tuition and fees (out-of-state) for undergraduates at Texas Tech runs, on average, about $24,121. Graduate students pay around $17,698 a year in average tuition and fees.

The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at University of North Texas helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools for Jamaican students in the Southwest Region. University of North Texas is a large public school located in Denton, Texas that handed out 8,156 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

ASU - Tempe is located in Tempe, Arizona and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 14,829 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.

Of the total number of students at the school, 10.4% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at ASU - Tempe are China, India, and Saudi Arabia.
