On this page, we take a look at the Eastern Washington University athletics program as well as each varsity sport offered at the school so student athletes can decide if the school is a good match for them.
A total number of 434 student athletes participate in varsity sports at the school, 242 of whom are male and 192 are female. They receive, on average, about $9,620 in sports-related student aid to attend EWU. In terms of financials, the EWU men’s basketball program paid out $1,653,951 in expenses and made $1,489,002 in total revenue. This is a bit of a downer since it means that the program lost money, $-164,949 to be exact.

EWU brought in $369,745 in revenue from its men’s track and field program while paying out $609,626 in expenses. Unfortunately, that means the program lost money, racking up a net loss of $-239,881.
The 2 head coaches and 4 assistant coaches train and lead the 115 players of the EWU women’s track and field team. The 115 players of the EWU women’s track and field team are led by a head coach and an assistant coach.
On the money side of things, the EWU women’s track and field program brought home $680,628 in revenue and paid out $815,729 in total expenses. This is a bit of a downer since it means that the program lost money, $-135,101 to be exact.
The EWU women’s volleyball team is made up of 17 players who, in turn, are trained and guided by a head coach and 2 assistant coaches. Teammates care for more than volleyball, too. Their great academic progress rate of 986 is a sign that they spend ample time on their studies as well.
EWU brought in $649,180 in revenue from its women’s volleyball program while paying out $857,429 in expenses. This is a bit of a downer since it means that the program lost money, $-208,249 to be exact.
