This year's Best General Biology Colleges for Veterans in the United States ranking looked at 627 colleges that offer a bachelor's in biology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general biology programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the general biology program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Top 25 Most Veteran Friendly General Biology Schools
Columbia University in the City of New York earned the #1 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the large city of New York, Columbia is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Columbia, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for General Biology in the United States ranking.
According to our most recent data, Columbia supports 31,077 students, and 797 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 528 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $20,878. To help with additional expenses, 361 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

Drexel University earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the city of Philadelphia, Drexel is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.
