In 2019-2020, computer programming graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,629 and had an average of $27,450 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,256 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,849 and $24,337 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 83 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Programming for a Bachelor’s. This large school is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and it awarded 38 bachelors’s programming degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Grand Canyon University, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Computer Programming Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 7,172 of the 103,427 students enrolled at Grand Canyon University were GI Bill® students, of which 4,951 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $5,970. During this same period, 5 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Tempe, Arizona is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out bachelors’s programming degrees to 19 students in 2020-2021.

University of Advancing Technology not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #3 on our “Best Computer Programming Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Of the 836 students enrolled at University of Advancing Technology, 168 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 123 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,000. During this same period, 19 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Located in Tempe, Arizona, this large private for-profit school handed out 15 degrees to qualified bachelors’s programming students in 2020-2021.
