Located in the large city of Chicago, Illinois Tech is a private not-for-profit college with a moderately-sized student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Illinois Tech, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Computer Science in the Great Lakes Region ranking.

About 0.8% of Illinois Tech students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 1,752 students take at least one class online at Illinois Tech. There are roughly 1,354 part time students in attendance at Illinois Tech.

The #4 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Purdue University - Main Campus. Located in the city of West Lafayette, Purdue is a public college with a fairly large student population.
