Information Technology is the 42nd most popular major in the country with 40,555 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,176 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,604 and $24,678 respectively.

This year’s “Most Well Attended IT Major in the New England Region” ranking analyzed 57 colleges that offered a degree in information technology. To top this list, a school must have a successful information technology program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.
