In 2020-2021, 35,794 people earned their degree in construction trades, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, construction trades graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $38,184 and had an average of $11,556 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 3,906 construction trades graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,671 and $11,321 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,190 construction trades graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,164 and $17,633 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Construction Trades for an Associate” ranking analyzed 15 colleges that offered a degree in construction trades. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent construction trades programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
