You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend American University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in District of Columbia for Education for a Bachelor’s list. The American University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Washington, District of Columbia. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 17 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.

The American University did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in District of Columbia” list.According to our most recent data, American University supports 14,001 students, and 613 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 388 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
