Education is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 4th of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 327,871 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 51,452 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,751 and $24,359 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 12,192 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,457 and $25,851 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 138 colleges that offer a degree in education. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality education programs as well as strong veteran support.
